The Race and Culture module has been created in close collaboration with “What Does Hate Look Like?” authors Sameea Jiminez and Corinne Promislow. Sameea Jimenez is an elementary school educator in the Toronto District School Board. Her teaching in rooted in anti-oppression and anti-racism and is committed to challenging social norms and paradigms. Corinne Promislow is a principal in the Toronto District Board with over 28 years of teaching experience. She has developed resources, provided professional development and chaired committees to foster inclusion and anti-discrimination.
This Focus Module comes with the books shown below, access to downloadable lesson plans and activities booklets for each book, a classroom poster, mirror and accompanying class exercise/lesson, a class set of WITS strategies rulers, and pencils as well as access to online resources including additional education, videos, games and/or exercises.
